  • Christmas Performances 2021

    Wed 01 Dec 2021 Mrs J Rowley

    Christmas Events and Performances 2021

Currently we are still hoping to be able to invite Parents/Carers into school to watch the Christmas Performances. We can only do this with your continued support to keep everybody safe.

Public Health Advice has asked that schools consider a number of factors to ensure a COVID safe environment for welcoming visitors to Christmas events. In order to be able to have parents/carers in school to watch our Christmas performances and Nativity’s the following restrictions will apply:

    • We must limit the size of the audience by:
      • Limiting the number of visitors e.g. 1 ticket per pupil which will be ordered in advance by returning the order slip. NO tickets will be given out after the date specified and NOBODY will be allowed entrance on the day without a ticket under any circumstances.
      • Plan smaller events e.g. one school year per event where possible

    • All Parent/Carers should be asked to take Lateral Flow Tests before attending
    • All Parent/Carers must wear face coverings throughout the event unless they are exempt
    • The school hall will be kept well ventilated, with the windows and doors open if weather permits
    • Parent/Carers will be asked to maintain social distancing whenever possible, including queuing up to enter and leave the school building
    • Parent/Carers will enter the event space by the school hall doors on the playground which is the most direct route rather than walking through the school
    • Parent/Carers will be sat socially distanced in the hall with a space between all seats

It is important to note: Any class(es) that are part of an outbreak at the time of the event cannot take part, but the rest of the school can. The class(es) that are part of the outbreak must not use the event space for 24 hrs prior. If we have multiple outbreaks across 4 or more year groups we may be asked by Public Health England to cancel the event due to such widespread transmission.

Please ensure you all understand that these precautions have been put in place due to increasing COVID rates across Salford and the rest of the UK.  We want to protect children, staff and their families so all can stay well and have a wonderful Christmas.

Thank you for your ever continuing support in these difficult times.
