LEARNING to make a difference

Welcome

Headteachers Welcome

Welcome from Mrs Rowley

It is my privilege to welcome you and your family to St. Paul’s Church of England (VC) Primary School and an honour to serve as the Headteacher.

Our school is a place of fun, laughter, learning and an overarching desire to succeed.  Whilst we have high aspirations for every child and an expectation that they will excel and achieve their full potential, we also recognise that our children are all uniquely different – all possessing different skills and abilities. At St. Paul’s,  we nurture the talents of individuals, recognising each child as an individual blessed with their own unique set of gifts, which we work hard to encourage and support as each child discovers where their strengths lie.

We pride ourselves on our happy, friendly and caring atmosphere and the strength of relationships which are underpinned by our strong Christian ethos. We have close links with St. Paul’s Church and our local community.

Christian values permeate and drive all aspects of school life and are lived out in the outstanding and loving relationships between all members of the school.  Mutual respect and care ensure that children are secure and happy in their learning, so that they make good to outstanding progress (SIAMS Inspection Report November 2016).

We encourage and model respect for one another, children and adults alike. We aim to create a positive, stimulating and happy learning environment through which all children will achieve success and develop their potential to the full. We look to promote their academic, spiritual, moral, cultural and physical development so that in time they will be ready for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. As careers change and worldwide opportunities increase we have to ensure that our children are equipped to compete internationally with students across the world, allowing their young minds to flourish in a safe environment.

Throughout your child’s education we will keep you up to date and informed of their progress and development. It is also important to remember that you are welcome to come in and see us at any time, particularly if you have worries or concerns – just make an appointment with the appropriate person (class teacher, Deputy Headteacher, Children & Families Officer or Headteacher).

Finally, I would like to emphasise how at St. Paul’s, we value the support we receive from our parents and families and how beneficial it is to the children that we work together in partnership to ensure that the years ahead at our school are both happy and fulfilling for your child.

Please do take the time to explore our website, but the best way to appreciate what our school has to offer is to come and visit us. Feel free to ring us to make an appointment and see for yourself this 'oasis of positivity'; witness this hub of learning in action and experience  St. Paul’s Heathside family atmosphere.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs J Rowley
