As part of our 'Robots' topic, we have been looking at the human body and how amazing it is! To support our learning, we took a trip to Eureka! to explore the human body more.
When we arrived at Eureka! we were able to do some science experiments to learn more about the human body! One of the science experiments was all about scabs and we even got to create a fake injury! It was really gross!
After this, we had time to explore the museum and see just how truly amazing our human body is!
We had a great day!
Can you remember any facts about the human body and our senses?
How Do Animals Survive in the Cold?
In Science, we were looking at how animals adapt for winter. We then started thinking about how some animals can survive in cold weather all year round. We did a science experiment to see how fat layers in some animals such as polar bears lets them survive in extremely cold weather!
We had to dip our hands in very cold water and we could only leave our fingers in for a second as it was too cold! We then put our hands into a plastic bag which had a layer or fat around the outside. We then dipped our hands into the water inside the bags and we found that we could leave our hands in for much longer as the fat layer was keeping us warm!
