Phonic Screening
Over the next few weeks your child will be bringing home some resources to help them practise for the phonic screening check.
Please watch the video below which demonstrates how to 'sound button' nonsense words. This will help the children spot digraphs in words and then blend the words. Digraphs and trigraphs are 2/3 letters that make one sound. Please see the sound mats in your child's pack for examples.
