Our Physical Development
During the school week the nursery children will do a P.E. lesson once a week with Mr Melia and Miss Jackson on a Wednesday morning.
Physical development is very important within our school culture to give our children not only healthy bodies,
but also healthy minds. Children within nursery have to develop those strong muscles
to allow them to run, jump, kick and climb confidently.
As well as P.E. we explore our outside area daily (weather permitted) to allow the children
to grow and develop.
We also take part in daily activities to support children's fine motor development. We carry out activities such as painting, dough disco and story dough. This enables children's muscles in their hands to become stronger and to prepare them for writing. In our writing area we have different resources to support mark making and the children enjoy talking about the marks they have made.
