- To know where our school is located

- To know that some features are human and others are physical

- To know how to use compass directions and simple map symbols

- To know how to use simple fieldwork and observation skills to study the school locality

- To know how to observe the school environment

- To know how to devise a simple map and use basic symbols in a key

- To how to use maps, compass directions and locational and directional language to direct somebody around the school ground
