Parents can apply for a place for their child at our school by making an application through Salford local authority.
Parents living in Salford can apply online in the Family Portal. If you apply for a reception place using our online service, there is no need to fill in a paper form.
Before you fill in your application you should read the information on this page and on the admission policy pages in full to ensure you understand the admissions procedure.
Log in to the Family Portal to make a school application
In year applications can be made at any time.
The application process for nursery and reception applications for September 2024, opens on 1 September 2023 and closes on 15 January 2024.
The application process for secondary applications for September 2024, opens on 1 September 2023 and closes on 31 October 2023.
All applications for school places can be viewed in the Family Portal application system using the link below. Your school offer will appear in the portal on 1 March for secondary places and 16 April for nursery and reception places. You can continue to use the below link to apply for a move of school during the school year at any time.
Apply for a school place or login to the system
The step by step process for applying for a school place online in the Family Portal is as follows:
- Please ensure you have read the relevant admission policy to ensure you meet the criteria for the schools you have chosen.
- Before you make your application, if you have not registered previously, you will need to register using a valid, working email address and choose a password. You may have used the Family Portal previously to apply for a school place or for two-year old funding. If so, you should use the same login details. If you can not remember your login details please follow the links provided in the Family Portal and these will be sent to you.
- If you are applying for more than one child you will need to fill in a separate application for each child.
- If you change your mind after submitting your application you can login to the Family Portal and change your choices at any point up until the closing date for the relevant year group. You must remember to resubmit your application.
- If any additional information is required in support of your application, eg medical form, then it is your responsibility to ensure it reaches us by the deadline date using the 'Contact us online' form below.

In- year School admissions
In-year admissions are applications for children wishing to move school during the school year.
Applications for moving during the school year can only be made online using the Family Portal. Once the application has been processed and a decision reached (ten to 15 school days), you will receive an email informing you that your child’s school place details are available in the Family Portal. To view the offer information you will need to log into the Family Portal this will advise you of the school place offered to your child and what you need to do next.
