Year 4 have been completing the Archbishops’ Young Leaders Award as part of our character education. We have learnt what it means to be a leader and that we all have what it takes to be a leader in our class, school and local community.
We have loved following Archie’s journey and learning how amazing it feels to think about others and follow the commandment to ‘love your neighbour as yourself’. We have learnt that our neighbour is not just the person who lives next door, but people we meet throughout our lives.
We have learnt lots about our school, local, national and global community. We looked at what life was like for someone living in Kolkata, India making a living from making and selling paper bags, this helped us appreciate the things we have and the difference in what we want versus what we need.
