St. Paul's Church Visit
On Wednesday 9th May, Willow 1 and 2 walked to St. Paul's Church to have a look at the important features within the it as part of our RE topic. When we got there we met Amos, the Church Warden. He told us lots of information about the church and then let us have a good look round. We looked at the altar, pews, the lecterns, the font, stained glass windows, the pulpit and the organ - this was our favourite. Amos even played it for us!
Play in a Day
On Monday 26th February, Willow 1 took part in a Play in a Day led by Altru Theatre Company. We played lots of games to help keep us concentrate and keep focused and we learnt a lot about The Great Fire of London. It was tricky remembering all of the lines and actiing positions but we managed it! At the end of the day we performed it to our grown-up and Key Stage 1.
On January 25th, Willow 1 and 2 were visited by two African Drumming experts from Drum Roots. The children were taught how to play the djembe drums and about how they are traditionally used in African celebrations.
Willow 1 and 2 worked very hard throughout December learning songs and lines ready to perform their Christmas Nativity to their parents in Church. Here are some pictures of the performance.
