Everyday Materials: Describing Everyday Materials
In the room that you are sitting in, see if you can spot one thing that is made from each of these materials:
Using the pictures to follow, sort them into the hoops.
Now look at the pictures and read the sentences. Choose the correct word from the word bank at the bottom to say what the items are made from.
Materials can also be described using the words below.
Have a look around your house and garden for some objects that can be collected together and put into a container (a pillowcase or a box will do).
Ask a grown up to describe one of the items using the words above. You have to find the material you think is being described. Take turns with your grown up at describing and guessing.
