LEARNING to make a difference

Week 9

Activity 1

Rhyme and Rhythm

Have a look at the picture below.

Can you find all the objects that rhyme with hat?

Well done!

I can see a hat, bat, cat, rat and a mat!

Activity 2

Rhyme and Rhythm

Play listen to the beat game!

In school we usually play this with different musical instruments in the classroom but it can be just as fun if you use objects such as a pan and wooden spoon!

Once you have these objects, practice tapping the spoon on the pan.

Can you play your instrument louder?

Can you play your instrument quieter?

Can you play your instrument faster?

Can you play your instrument slower?

You could even sing some nursery rhymes whilst you play your instrument!

Activity 3

Let’s play another game of silly soup!

This week use the objects you have found that begin with the ‘p’ sound.

Find a bowl and make some silly soup!

Here is the video that shows you how to play the game.

Activity 4

Voice Sounds

Listen to the sounds at the seaside

What can you hear? Can you make them sounds?

What else might you hear at the seaside?

Have a look at the book we have read this week Lucy and Tom at the Seaside (see English ideas)

What is happening?

What can you see?

What do you think you could hear if you was there at the seaside?
