Spelling activity

 

This week’s spelling rule is the ‘ee’ sound family.   

 

A diagraph is a group of 2 letters that represent a single sound or phoneme. Even though they are lots of ways to spell the sound, the sound is still the same.

 

Below are 6 different ways of making the ‘ee’ sound.

Think of as many words as you can that have the ‘ee’ sound but are spelt differently. An example has been done in each box to get you started.
