Spelling activity
This week’s spelling rule is apostrophes for contraction.
Sometimes, we join two words together to make them shorter. We call them contractions. To make these new words, you have to remove some letters and put in an apostrophe where the missing letters should go. For example; I am becomes I’m – we have removed the a and added an apostrophe.
Below are a list of words that can become contractions. Have a go at joining them together. The first one has been done for you. The answers are on the page if you follow the answers link.
