Week 5 Maths Tasks
Task 1: To know how to use and apply knowledge of my times tables.
For the first task, you must recite your times tables and think about all the odd numbers that you come across. For the second task you need to scramble up some of your times tables before solving them tomorrow. Or maybe you could challenge somebody in your house to unscramble them!
Task 2: To know how to solve problems involving multiplying 2 digits by 2 digits.
Last week we looked at long multiplication and multiplying two digits by two digits. Have a look at these problems and apply the method that we practiced last week to solve them!
Task 3: To know how to multiply three digits by two digits.
Now we are going to have a go at multiplying three digits by two digits using the same strategy that we used last week. If you are struggling to remember our method, then refresh your memory by looking at last week’s example. The only difference is you need to remember to multiply your hundreds as well.
Have a go at these:
- 242 x 23
- 385 x 16
- 432 x 12
- 673 x 32
- 321 x 43
