Copy out the sentences in your book and underline the prepositions.
- The chair was beside the table.
- The book was under the bed.
- The clock is on the wall.
- The folder is next to the chair.
Now rewrite two sentences and include adjectives.
As our new topic for the summer term is ‘The place where I live’, use prepositions to write sentences to describe a room in your house. Remember prepositions are words that show where the noun, pronouns and phrases are positioned in a sentence.
E.g. My black television is on top of an oak cabinet.
There is a brown leather armchair next to the large window.
