Activity 1
Revisit
- Order from smallest to largest: 14, 24, 17, 63, 36
- Complete the missing numbers: 75, 65, __, 45, __, __, 15, __
- 26 + 3 = 16 + __
LO: To compare length
This week we are going to revisit measuring length.
Tell your adult what you know about length.
What equipment do we use to measure length?
What unit of measurement do we use?
Write down the units we use when measuring the length of an object: grams, metres, centimetres, litres.
Activity 2
Revisit
Use the 100 square to help you add and subtract 10.
- 45 – 10 =
- 36 + 10 =
- 14 – 10 =
- 51 + 10 =
- 38 – 10 =

Activity 3
Revisit
|
LO: To use addition and subtraction to solve length problems.
Remember to write down the important information, then decide which operation to use and finally calculate the answer.
E.g. Spongebob is 12 cm tall Patrick is 3cm taller. How tall is Patrick.
The important information is 12 and 3 so we need to add the numbers together to find the answer. 12 cm + 3 cm = 15 cm Patrick is 15 cm tall.

Have a go at some problem solving using your knowledge of measuring length and height.
Remember 1m is the same as 100cm.
