    Seven Acres school trip

    We had great fun on our school trip where we learnt about rivers and their features. We raced some rubber ducks to find out the speed of the river and we did some kick sampling to learn about the creatures that live in the river. It was a great day out and lots of learning and fun was had.

    Easter Service 

    Year 4 put on a lovely performance all about the Easter story.

    Year 4 visited the church to experience the stations of the cross and learnt all about the Easter story.

    This week, all KS2 children took part in an interactive online safety assembly and then all Year 4 and Year 5 classes had individual workshops looking at how to stay safe online.

    Using materials to make a structure

    We had to make a structure using materials and decide which was the best one to use. We discovered that corrugated card was the strongest and the best to use. We found that fabric was too flimsy.

    The Reindeer came to visit

    What an amazing experience to have some of Santa's reindeer come to visit school. Donna and Blitzen took the day off and came to see us at school. What fun that was.

    Ancient Greek pots

    Year 4 have been planning, designing, creating their own Greek pots. It's been a lot of messy fun, but we've learnt how to plan a panel to carve into the wet clay, we've learnt how to use the pinch pot technique and the coil technique to mould our pots, and we have learnt how to paint our design onto the pot.

    The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the pantomime that came to school. There were lots of laughs, shrieks, boos, hisses, cheers and excitement.
