Welcome to Reception. We are really looking forward to seeing you again. We are very excited to find out all about you and the things you enjoy doing.  Over the school year, we will be reading lots of stories and continuing to find out about transport, life cycles and the seaside. We will work together to complete challenges in both the indoor and outdoor environment and will have lots of fun together.

Important Information

Children in Reception have been provided with a red bag, a PE kit and pumps. These will be kept in school until half-term. Please wash them over half-term and return them ready for the next half-term. 

Children in Reception have been provided with a red bag. Please bring this to school each day. They will also receive a Planner. They will also need to be in school every day. They are checked daily to respond to any messages and to check whether you have read at home with your child. Children will then get a House Point for each time they read. We encourage you to listen to your children read as much as possible. Once they have read five times, children will then be able to pick a prize from our reading prize box. 

We will read with your child three times a week and then this book will then be sent home. Reading books will be changed every Thursday. Please return books to school on a Thursday and a new book will be sent out on Friday. If you do not return a book that has been given out, unfortunately, we will not be able to provide a new book until the original book has been returned.

Please make sure your child's name is on all items belonging to them.
