LEARNING to make a difference

Neil Armstrong

Neil Armstrong: A Significant Historical Figure

We have been learning about the life of Neil Armstrong in History.

He was famous for being the first man to walk on the moon.

We also know that he was born in 1930 in Ohio, America.

He got his pilot licence when he was 16.

He became and astronaut and went to space on Apollo 11 and landed on the moon in a capsule called the Eagle.

His famous words were 'One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.'

He died in 2012 when he was 82.

On Tuesday 14th December, a Time Traveller from Freshwater Theatre Company visited us and we became time travelling apprentices, learning all about Neil Armstrong's life.
