LO: To research the planets in our solar system.
This half term we are going to be reading the book 'The man on the Moon' as our topic is all about space! The videos below are a reading of our English book. The reading has been split into 4 sections so you can watch one after the other to get the full story.

Have a think about these few questions...
1. How did you find the story?
2. Who is the main character in the story?
3. Where is the story set?
We are going to be creating our own space themed story but in a slightly different setting. However, to be able to do this we need to find another setting...
TASK
On a piece of A3/A4 paper, can you research the planets in our solar system. I would like you to find...
How many planets there are
What they look like
Their layout
Can you draw all of the planets in the solar system? Use their correct colours, order them and label them with their names. Once finished, can you surround the planets with adjectives to describe them - this will come in handy tomorrow!
An adjective - a word that describes a noun (a name, place or thing - in this case the planet)
