During European Languages day, we took part in a house art competition.
As we were studying France all day, we decided to create art in the style of Claude Monet.
Monet was a famous artist, who was born in Paris in 1840.
He spent a great deal of his time outdoors and this influenced his work.
He is known as one of the founders of the Impressionist movement.
He often painted the same scene many times to capture the changing light and seasons.
One of his most famous paintings was of a Japanese bridge and waterlilies in his garden.
We followed his style and created our own watercolour paintings.
Here are some of our creations.
