LEARNING to make a difference

Computing

In class we have been discussing why it is important to protect our personal information online.

We understand that there are lots of risks online and it is important that we NEVER share our personal information with websites and people we don't know or trust.

We discussed how we could create a secure password that is not something easily guessed.

Passwords such as 'password, 12345 or simply your name' are not strong or secure passwords and can be easily obtained by scammers.

We tried to think of how you could create a memorable and difficult password that is personal to ourselves and would be difficult to guess.

We decided that having a mixture of these things would make a good password:

- a mixture of upper case and lower case letters

- numbers and letters

- something only you would know

- not an easily guessable word/ name/ number
