We had so much fun learning about Greece last week!
We got to make Greek head wreath in the morning to wear during the day as many Greeks wore wreaths as decorative pieces which symbolised honour.
We then had a look at the Greek alphabet (which is very different to the alphabet that we use!) and we had a go at drawing the Greek symbols which were very tricky!
We even got taught a little bit of Greek by some children in the class... yassou!!
We spent some time outdoors creating our own mini Olympics as we found out the Olympics started thousands of years ago in Greece.
In the afternoon, we were very lucky and got to try different Greek foods. Many of us loved the pitta and hummus but we weren't too keen on the olives...yuck!
We had a great day and learnt some interesting information about Greece.
