2025-2026 sporting events

This academic year, we have attended lots of different sporting events! Here are a few snapshots of our sporting involvement and also our sporting successes!

YEAR 5 AND 6 GIRLS FOOTBALL - WORLD CUP EVENT 

The girls took part in a football tournament, finishing a tremendous 4th in the league after winning 2, drawing 1 and losing 1 match.

That put us through to the quarter finals in which we showed a huge amount of commitment, passion and teamwork!

YEAR 5 AND 6 BOYS FOOTBALL - WORLD CUP EVENT 

The boys were looking forward to take part in the Fives World Cup Tournament. There were some brilliant teams on display, and they tried incredibly hard. They worked hard together and the team work shown was second to none.

The boys displayed fantastic behaviour and represented St Paul's as they know how to. Although they did not get the results they wanted however they showed resilience and perseverance, creating a fantastic team spirit throughout the day.

YEAR 3 AND FOOTBALL GIRLS FOOTBALL 

Some of our year 3 and 4 girls took part in a football competition at Salford Sports Village against 6 other schools. Miss Simpkin said she was super proud of the girls for their hard work and sportsmanship - well done!

YEAR 5 AND 6 NETBALL 

We successfully made it to the Salford Schools netball final and placed 3rd! Mrs Dixon is very proud of those who were part of time, showing dedication and commitment to the sport by attending training and showcasing some fantastic netball skills. 

PANATHLON

Our team of 8 pupils made it through to the county finals and came in an impressive 3rd place out of the top 10 schools across Greater Manchester!!

  

HANDBALL

Some of our Y3 and 4 boys represented our school in a handball tournament against other schools in our cluster. We came first place and so we have made it through to the handball finals on Thursday 12th March! Good luck boys!!

 

FOOTBALL 

Some Y5 and 6 boys and girls participated in a Man United tournament for boys and girls at The Cliff training ground. A brilliant day was had by all!

In addition, a group of Y5 and 6 girls participated in another Man United tournament for girls at The Cliff training ground. The girls came 4th out of 8 schools!

TAG RUGBY

A group of 12 Y5 and 6 boys and girls came in 2nd place in the Salford Schools tag rugby competition. The team fought super hard and exceeded all expectations. Well done!

CROSS COUNTRY 

Over 15 children represented our school in a series of cross-country races held at Buile Hill Park. 

It was wet, windy and rainy, but they all showed great determination and running technique.
