There have been many governmental changes brought in from September 2014 which are having a massive effect on schools. One of them being the government's abolition of national curriculum levels to assess pupil's progress and achievement. Schools have been very much left to devise their own new systems which have to be as robust and accurate as they have ever been. At St. Paul's our main concern is that our parents are given some input on these changes, what they mean for the school and most importantly how they will know how well their children are doing in school. With this in mind I have put together a couple of information sharing sessions for parents whereby I will endeavour to share some of these changes and to put forward how our school is working towards having new systems in place. It really is vital that as many parents as possible attend one of the sessions so that there is a common understanding across the school. It certainly won't be a stressful session, instead I hope it will be informal yet highly informative session with some refreshments thrown in.
